2016

May 2016:  On May 5, 2016, the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce awarded HLA the 2016 Virginia Asian Business of the Year Award in Richmond, VA. Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring gave the keynote speech at the awards ceremony. In his award acceptance speech Harlan Lee remarked, “I am honored and pleased to accept this award on behalf of the men and women who work for our company.  It is their good work and accomplishments that are so deserving of recognition.  They perform at an exceptionally high level every day, and their performance keeps us in business.”

February 2016:  HLA’s conference management team provided logistical support once again for the NIH/National Institute on Aging Alzheimer’s Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP) Workshop III held at the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus in Bethesda.

 

2015

July 2015:  Harlan Lee received the PDI-POA Ann Beard Board of Directors Achievement Award in July 2015 at the PDI-POA Education Forum in Salt Lake City.

July 2015:  HLA’s conference management team provided logistical support for the NIH/National Institute on Aging Alzheimer’s Disease Sequencing Project Workshop held at the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus in Bethesda. The Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) held its July CGMP certification training at HLA headquarters in Tysons Corner.

April 2015: HLA was awarded a new, consolidated five year GSA Schedule (GS00F106CA) that combined HLA’s previous MOBIS and AIMS schedules. Details and ordering instructions are contained on our Contract Vehicles page.

 

2014

July 2014: For the second consecutive year the HLA conference management team provided logistical support for the Protocol & Diplomacy International – Protocol Officers Association’s annual education forum. This year’s event was held in Washington, DC at the Four Seasons Hotel.

April 2014: HLA’s SeaPort-e contract with the Navy (N00178-14-D-7738) was renewed and extended until April 2019.

HLA was awarded renewal of the Visual Information Production Center task order by the Missile Defense Agency. This task order covers approximately 37 positions in the National Capital Region, Dahlgren, Huntsville and Colorado Springs.

 

2013

December 2013: HLA Event Planner Patricia Habecker qualified for Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) status through the training program offered by the Society of Government Meeting Professionals.

September 2013: The team led by Falls Church based Pragma Corporation, including HLA and MSI, was awarded a multiyear contract to provide management support and technical analysis services for the USAID Africa Sustainable Development program.

July/August 2013: The HLA conference management team provided planning and logistics support for the weeklong PDI-POA (Protocol Officers Association) annual education forum held in Chicago, Illinois. The HLA team will also support the 2014 protocol education forum to be held in Washington, DC.

April 2013: HLA teamed with prime contractor Kizano Corp., an 8(a) service-disabled small business, to provide logistics support for the State Department’s Board of Examiners.

March 2013: HLA was awarded a task order for Strategic Planning support to the Missile Defense Agency.

January 2013: HLA was awarded a subcontract by the Baldwin Group to provide event management support to the NOAA Pacific Services Center in Honolulu.

January 2013: HLA was awarded a task order for Public Affairs support to the Missile Defense Agency.

 

2012

October 2012:

HLA establishes a branch office in the Huntsville, Alabama Research Park. The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce assisted in arranging a ribbon cutting ceremony for the formal opening of the office on Oct. 30, 2012.
